OPTICAL ILLUSIONS SERIES

In my "Optical Illusions" series, I invite you to enter a world of visual intrigue and deception. These paintings are the result of a creative journey that began in the most unexpected of places: my high school boredom. As a student, I often found myself doodling patterns on Post-it notes during lectures, lost in the captivating world of lines and shapes that emerged from my pen. Little did I know that these idle moments would lay the foundation for an artistic exploration that continues to captivate and challenge me today.

At first glance, my paintings may appear as if they are the product of meticulous precision, with lines so perfectly straight and patterns so seamless that they could easily be mistaken for digitally printed designs.

Yet, the essence of these works lies in their imperfections, a deliberate testament to the human hand behind the creation. As you approach the canvas, you will discover that these intricate illusions are not the result of a machine's precision, but rather the painstaking work of a human hand.

The "Optical Illusions" series is a celebration of the interplay between precision and imperfection, the mechanical and the organic. It beckons viewers to reconsider their perceptions, challenging the boundaries of what is real and what is illusory. Each stroke of the brush is an act of defiance against the notion of perfection, a reminder that beauty can be found in the imperfections of the human touch.

Through the use of lines and contrasting colors, I aim to evoke a sense of rhythm and harmony within the geometric complexity of my compositions. They invite you to immerse yourself in a world where the boundaries between reality and illusion blur, where the lines between the natural and the artificial merge.
